L'Entropiste

L’Entropiste is a French perfume brand founded in 2024 by legendary perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, often known as the “Master of Incense.” Rooted in the concept of entropy—the universal law of imbalance and chaos—the brand explores a philosophy where deliberate disorder gives rise to a new, dynamic harmony. Duchaufour views balance not as something fixed, but as an evolving journey: each fragrance begins in equilibrium, passes through chaos, and settles into an unexpected form of harmony, mirroring life’s own processes of transformation and growth. Created in collaboration with perfumers Bertrand Duchaufour and Alexandra Mettetal, L’Entropiste launched seven fragrances in 2025, each embodying a provocative yet poetic dialogue between order and disorder, celebrating the mysterious, ever-evolving beauty of life itself.
