Renier Kisses Rain

The Czech niche perfume house founded by Renier Rodriguez Mendez stems from a profound passion for both the art of painting and the world of fragrance.
Renier is a Cuban plastic artist living in Prague, with a deep passion for painting. The scents of the materials he uses in his artwork opened the doors to the world of fragrances for him, inspiring him to experiment in this field and get swept up in the magic of perfumes.
His goal is to tell the story of each of his paintings through a perfume. He describes his perfumes as “the liquefied form of my brushstrokes” and gives each perfume a color from his palette. For him, every composition is like a new canvas, enriched with the perfumer’s imagination, vision, and emotions.
It's hard not to be captivated by this story and wonder what these perfumes smell like. The inspiration behind them, as well as the paintings they are based on, spark curiosity.
One of the most talked-about perfumes from the brand is Kisses Rain. The top notes feature bergamot, oud, cardamom, and rose. The combination of rose and cardamom emphasizes the perfume’s spicy yet slightly floral character. As these notes meld with the heart of heliotrope, coffee, cedarwood, vanilla, and almond, the scent transforms into a creamy and poetic composition. In the base, tolu balsam, amber, patchouli, musk, and vanilla round out the fragrance, adding warmth and a soft oriental touch. In short, it’s a creation that can be described as a slightly floral, spicy, woody, oriental gourmand fragrance.
Wearing Kisses Rain feels like enjoying a cup of cardamom-spiced coffee alongside a sweet cinnamon, ginger, and almond biscuit. This fragrance is warm, creamy, sweet, and gentle—an ideal choice for autumn and winter. Released in 2017, the perfumer behind this masterpiece is Daniel Josier.
